ID Confirmation Process for Phone Rentals

Due to mobile phone rental regulations in Japan, you will be asked to upload your ID photo if this is your first-time order.

If you are not a resident in Japan, please upload your passport photo. We will deliver the phone to the hotel you stay at.

If you are a resident in Japan, please upload your residence card photo. We will deliver the phone to the address on your residence card.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I return the rental item?

We will include a prepaid return envelope for you to return by mail. Please put the envelope into any post box in Japan before 8am the next day of the rental end date.

Do I have to pay insurance fees?

Our rental fees include the insurance fees. The insurance covers all types of damages. As long as you return the rental item, there will be no additional charges.

Do I have to pay shipping fees?

A flat shipping rate of 1,100 JPY can send and return one of the following:
  • One Pocket Wifi Router
  • One Smartphone
  • One Voice Translator
  • Up to Four SIM Cards

How large is the network coverage area of Smartphones?

The network coverage area is Japan nationwide. Covers around 100% of the population in Japan.

How much high-speed data will be allocated if I rent this item?

We allocate you 5GB of high-speed data per month. If your rental period starts in the middle of the month, we will allocate you the prorated amount of high-speed data.

When will my rental item arrive?

If you stay in Tokyo 23 wards, place your order before 11am on Mon-Sat, your rental item will arrive on the same day. If you stay in Kanto Area (Tokyo, Saitama, Chiba, Kanagawa, Ibaraki, Tochigi, Gunma, and Yamanashi), place your order before 8am on Mon-Sat, your rental item will arrive on the same day. If you stay outside Kanto Area , place your order before 5pm, your rental item will arrive next day.

Can I install apps on the Smartphone?

Yes. You can download and install any applications you want on the Smartphone with your own account.

Can I pick up my rental items at Airports in Japan?

Yes, the rental items can be delivered to the post office or JAL ABC counters in airport (Haneda, Narita, KIX, Central Japan, New Chitose and so on) for you to pick up.

Do I have to present my photo ID?

Yes, if this is your first order, you will be asked to upload your photo ID after you ordered.
