Same day. Orders placed before the daily cut-off (shown live on the delivery page) are delivered the same day anywhere in Tokyo and the Kanto area, 365 days a year. If you need it faster, our 3-hour express sends a bike messenger to any address in Tokyo’s 23 wards or Osaka City between 9am and 5pm (Osaka: Monday to Saturday, closed on public holidays) for an extra charge of 2,200–5,500 JPY depending on the ward.

Yes. Enter the hotel name and your check-in name as the delivery address and the front desk will hold the parcel for you. For an Airbnb or apartment without a reception, we can deliver on a day you are home, send it to the nearest post office for pick-up, or use the 3-hour bike delivery so you receive it in person.

Yes. We send it to the post office or JAL ABC counter at Narita, Haneda, Kansai, Chubu (Centrair) or New Chitose airport, where it waits for you. Bring your passport. Business hours and the ordering lead time for each airport are on the delivery page. Airport pick-up carries a 500 JPY handling fee.

A flat 1,200 JPY round trip for a pocket WiFi or phone, anywhere in Japan, prepaid return envelope included. Physical SIM cards ship for 600 JPY (up to four SIMs in one envelope). eSIMs are emailed, so there is no shipping fee. If you rent two devices you pay shipping for each. For the plug-in HOME 5G L12 router the customer pays the actual shipping cost.

Yes, to all of Japan. Tokyo and the Kanto area get same-day delivery; most other prefectures get next-day delivery, and some remote areas take one more day. The full list is on the delivery page. Everything ships by Japan Post with tracking.

Yes. Choose “Easygo Japan Office” as the delivery address and email us your arrival time. Half of the shipping fee is refunded for office pick-up. We are in Minami-Otsuka, Toshima-ku, Tokyo, a few minutes from Otsuka Station on the Yamanote line.

Yes, it is really unlimited. Our pocket WiFi routers have no daily data cap and no speed throttling after a quota, which is the main difference from most “unlimited” eSIMs and many rental routers. Stream, video-call and tether a laptop all day. The only limit is the carrier’s normal fair-use rule for extreme usage (hundreds of GB), which ordinary travellers never reach.

SoftBank 4G LTE and WiMAX +5G routers, covering roughly 100% of the population of Japan, including the Shinkansen, subways and most rural and mountain areas. eSIMs and SIM cards run on the docomo 4G/5G network.

Up to 10 devices at once, so one router can cover a family or a small group. The battery lasts about 13 hours of continuous use. A charger and cable are included, and you can rent a portable battery pack with your order.

The HOME 5G L12 is a mains-powered 5G router: plug it in at your apartment, Airbnb or office and it gives strong, unlimited WiFi to the whole flat without charging. Yes. We rent iPhones and Android phones with a Japanese phone number and unlimited domestic calls, and a “Talk SIM” with a Japanese number for your own unlocked phone. A passport copy is required for phone and Talk SIM rentals (Japanese law). Details on the phone rental page.

Contact us by email or phone and we send a replacement by the next day anywhere in Japan. If you need it sooner in Tokyo’s 23 wards or Osaka City, the 3-hour bike delivery is available at the usual extra charge. Damage insurance is included in every rental, so accidental damage costs you nothing. Loss of a router is charged at 20,000 JPY, a phone at 25,000 JPY and a SIM card at 3,000 JPY.

From the delivery date to your rental end date, both days included, minimum 3 days. Drop the return envelope into a post box by 8am on the day after your end date and that day is free. Examples are on the how-to-rent page.

Yes, as many times as you like. Email or call us before your end date and we extend it at the extension rates; you keep the same device and pay the extra days by card.

You can return it any time, but the rental fee for the booked period is not refunded once more than two days have passed since delivery (see terms). Book the days you are sure about and extend later if needed — extending is easy, shortening is not.

No deposit. You pay the rental fee and shipping by credit card when you order, and nothing else unless you extend or lose the device.

Put the router, cable and charger into the prepaid return envelope we included, and drop it into any red Japan Post box anywhere in Japan — at the airport, your hotel lobby, a convenience store or on the street — by 8am on the day after your end date. No counter, no form, no payment.

Yes. Every major airport has post boxes in the departure area, and airport post offices accept the envelope too. Drop it before you go through security.

Email us straight away. If the device is still in Japan we will tell you the nearest post box; if it has left Japan we arrange international return shipping at your cost. A device that is not returned is charged at the loss fee.

Short version: an eSIM is cheapest for one person with a recent unlocked phone who uses a moderate amount of data. A pocket WiFi is better for two or more people, laptops and tablets, heavy data use (video, work, streaming) or a phone that is locked or does not support eSIM. You receive a QR code by email within minutes of ordering. Scan it in your phone’s settings, switch on data roaming for the new line when you land, and you are connected. Plans from 6 to 91 days on the docomo network, tethering allowed. Your phone must be unlocked and eSIM-compatible (iPhone XS or newer, most Pixel and recent Samsung models).

No. eSIM plans have a data quota (20GB to 135GB depending on the plan). After the quota the connection slows down rather than cutting off. If you need genuinely unlimited data, rent a pocket WiFi.

Nano SIM, with adapters included for micro and standard slots. It is data-only (no phone number), so calls go through apps such as WhatsApp, LINE or FaceTime.

Online by Visa, Mastercard or American Express when you order. Prices include tax and damage insurance. A detailed invoice is emailed after your rental.

Yes, free of charge before the device is shipped (we ship 2–3 days before your rental start date). Email us to cancel. eSIMs, SIM cards and single-use WiFi cannot be cancelled once issued.

If you are not satisfied, notify us and return the device within two days of receiving it and we refund the rental fee. Shipping fees, SIM cards, eSIMs and single-use WiFi are not refundable. Details in the terms of service.

Yes. We have supplied travel agencies, tour operators, language schools and companies hosting overseas staff since 2010. Bulk delivery to one address, invoicing, a dedicated contact and same-day replacement in Tokyo are available. Email mail@easygojapan.com with the dates and number of devices and we reply the same business day.

Yes. Send us the list of guests, hotels and check-in dates and each device is delivered to the right hotel on the right day, with one invoice for the group.
